About me

I am
Harish Menon

A Melbourne-based photographer with a deep passion for capturing the beauty of the natural world. My career began in the world of advertising photography, where I honed my technical skills and creative vision. However, my heart was always drawn to the wild landscapes and creatures that exist beyond the studio.

From the fast-paced world of commercial photography, I found myself increasingly immersed in wildlife and nature photography—an area where I could explore and express my personal connection to the environment. Over time, this interest evolved into a specialized focus on bird photography. Birds, with their vibrant colors, graceful flight, and delicate presence, became my muse, and I began to seek out and document their incredible beauty in various settings.
Today, my work as a bird photographer allows me to merge my technical expertise with my love for nature. I travel extensively to capture these moments of flight, behavior, and interaction with their environments. Each photograph tells a story—not only of the bird itself but of the landscapes that sustain them and the delicate balance of nature we must all strive to preserve.
Photography for me is a way to connect deeply with the world around me, to share its wonders, and to inspire others to appreciate the incredible diversity of life. Whether it’s the quiet stillness of a heron on a misty morning or the vivid flurry of a hummingbird in mid-flight, my aim is to capture the soul of each bird and the essence of the wild spaces they inhabit.
